Innserve supplies, installs and maintains drinks dispense systems in 98,000 outlets around the UK. These include pubs, bars, hotels, restaurants and stadiums. Innserve was created in 2004, brought about by the combination of the in-house technical services departments of Carlsberg UK and S&N UK after both companies decided to outsource these services. Office of Fair Trading approval was given to the merger at the end of January 2004 and became fully operational as a stand-alone business in March 2005.
The UK beer market has changed dramatically over the past 15 years with introduction of competition and diversity after the ending of large brewer pub ownerships. This has seen the emergence of many pub groups, the increased choice and range of brands for sale and loosening of ties to brewers. Products frequently change on the pub bar and these activities need to be serviced in a professional way. S&N UK and Carlsberg saw the opportunity of a single source of technical service as a benefit to their customers, one technician visit was better than two!
Innserve make in excess of 400,000 maintenance visits per year and the level of installations of new brands or pub refurbishments is will exceed 70,000 jobs annually.
