InnCool

Delivering extra cold from ice bank cooling

UK dispense systems are primarily based on ice bank coolers which have the advantage of an "ice bank" reserve capacity. This enables the capital cost of equipment and dispense temperature variation to be minimised. Unfortunately ice bank systems cannot deliver extra cold temperatuers without significant changes to the python and product coils.

To limit the requirement for new capital, avoid capital write off and the environmental impact of scrapping the existing cooler population, Innserve have developed a remote cooler solution. This combines the best of both worlds - extra cold cooling from the cellar using ice bank technology but with sub zero cooling capacity.

Innserve has carried out extensive testing to develop a cooling process which will deliver 2-4c in glass consistently. This does require some minimum requirement in the specification of the existing site python and the remote cooler. The capital cost of this is very much reduced compared to existing glycol or secondary cooling solutions. In addition to this, Innserve have developed a liquid "InnCool" which when added to the existing cooler gives the lower temperatures of a glycol system but still forming an "ice bank" to give traditional capacity. This exciting innovation in the development of remote beer cooling now has a patent, and is available to all equipment owners.
